Local e-business service provider eOneNet.com
has made a pact with MediaCorp of Singapore’s subsidiary
MediaCorp Interactive Pte Ltd to offer video streaming services
to online businesses.
Under an agreement signed yesterday, MediaCorp Interactive will
provide video encoding, hosting and streaming services to eOneNet
via a webcast arm of MediaCorp Interactive, Woof! Meanwhile,
eOneNet will be responsible for production, sale and marketing
of the webcast services in Malaysia.
“We are aiming for nothing less than 10 customers by year-end.
If we get that, it would mean more than break even on our investment
on this,�eOneNet.com
president and chief executive officer Fione Tan told reporters
after the agreement signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Tan said the company is targeting financial institutions, multinational
companies and companies with websites which want to enhance
its customer’s experience on the website. She is confident
in achieving the target, banking on Woof!’s six years experience
in dealing with large corporations in Singapore.
eOneNet.com, wholly owned
by eOneNet.com Sdn. Bhd., commenced operations in April last
year specialising in web concept and Internet marketing as well
as offering one - stop e - business and marketing solutions.
Woof! is one of South-East Asia’s leading webcasters which
delivers entertainment and information using the latest video
and audio streaming technologies.
Users can choose to watch the videos in broadband or narrowband
depending on the network they subscribe to.
The MediaCorp Group comprises Television Corporation of Singapore,
Radio Corporation of Singapore, Singapore Television Twelve,
MediaCorp Studios, MediaCorp News, MediaCorp Interactive, MediaCorp
Publishing and MediaCorp Press.
