A nice looking teacher offered NT1,000,000 if you successfully matchmake her with a prospective husband. This is not a joke, but a real case of a Taiwanese teacher, which was featured on the Taiwan tv news. You might think that the person has to look weird if they offered money to get married. She was totally the opposite, and i found her to look quite attractive.

I’ve just informed some friends and business associates about the wedding and the wonderful wedding greetings have been pouring in. Thanks for your wishes. We even added a section in our online RSVP section to allow guests to jot down their messages to us prior to the wedding.

The wedding invitation e-card can be found at www.9wedding.com & here are some of the wedding wishes that we have received online via this form:-

“Congratulations on your Wedding !!!” Ms. Alice Sy, Hong Kong

“Harrace, Fione, 祝您們, 相親相愛‧永浴愛河‧夫唱婦隨‧五世其昌” Mr. Banly Cheung, Hong Kong

Just now i’ve just finished my Singapore Internet Marketing coaching participants online meeting at InternetMarketingCoaching.com and surprised them before ending by announcing that they should check a new blog that i was doing called www.9weddings.com

Within seconds the Singapore internet entrepreneurs were sending in wedding wishes, and to know who i was going to get married to,they had to check the online website blog. I remembered one Singapore coaching participant even asked me “are you really getting married?” as in the world of Internet Marketing, sales gimmicks can take place in many ways. So yes, i am really settling down to my better half.

If you wish to send in your wedding wishes for us, feel free to drop in your comments here.

When you are having your wedding, you’ll like to look like a princess when you’re wearing the wedding gown, but what if you have diamantes dropping off from your rented tiara or the missing pearls from your pearl choker? When i took my bridal studio photos, the bridal accessories like crown, tiaras, necklaces and earrings were available at the studio but most of the pieces were having its tear & wear. Luckily i bought lots of my personal collection of jewelry to match the outfits that i will bring be wearing (i didn’t choose my wedding dresses till the day at the bridal studio when i was scheduled for the wedding shoot).

The make up artists were impressed by my jewelry collection, just like the Boy Scout motto, “Always be Prepared”. Crystals would work well as it’s normally silver in colour and sparkles really well. I had an extravagant (slightly over the top piece) crystals choker and several pairs of matching earrings also in crystal. Where did i get most of this? I got these in the Takashimaya store in Ngee Ann City shopping mall along Orchard Road. I remembered i ended up buying S$300 worth of costume jewelry from the same counter.

Before i go for any photo shoot in the studio, i ensure that i get my nails done up as well. For your wedding photos, you can choose nails with silver, white, nude shimmer, or light pink. If pays to have nails done up with arcylic gel nail, and nail arts look great if you have swarovski crystals on them too.

For my wedding photos in December, i tried arcylic gel nails for the first time. This takes about 2 hours and i had it done about 10 days prior to my photo shooting.

Back to our 2007 Valentine’s Day dinner, we checked out California Pizza Kitchen (as they had a nice nice view of the harbour area & the tables were widely separated apart), but when reaching there, we changed our minds as there was a long queue. This is going to be our last Valentine’s Day as a dating couple so we wanted to enjoy every single moment.

I’ve seen reviews about a popular Vietnamese restaurant in Harbour City shopping mall called Rice Paper and we’ve not been there yet, so we tried it out. The valentine’s day set would be about HK$1,000 but i asked for them whether we could order ala-carte as the set had things which i didn’t quite liked eating. Since it was already the later part of the evening, the waitress obliged.

When choosing a romantic venue as your dining spot, you should consider the decor at the restaurant, and the crowds to expect. It would be less romantic when you have other tables just next to you and the whole night, you have to put up with their loud conversations.

This vietnamese restaurant provided a soothing intimate feel, and we were able to enjoy a romantic dinner together.

We started off with their popular rice paper sugarcane prawns.

One thing about Vietnamese food is that they use lots of fresh leaves / spices. We basically used rice paper, and swept the lime sauce dipping onto the rice paper (which really looks like paper) and then the paper will turn slightly soft. Then next was to put in leaves, vegetables, and then the prawn meat after being removed from the sugarcane. Roll the ingredients and you will need to use your hands to eat this so it was fun. This tastes really nice and gave us an even bigger appetite for the next course. This appetizer was about HK$75.

Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular celebrated day by lovers and couples worldwide. However, i feel that everyday can also be Valentine’s Day if we only put in some effort to it. We went to Tsim Sha Tsui and went to the Marco Polo Hong Kong hotel, but was not eager for their valentine’s day set, and from there, ventured around to check out other restaurants. Since it was near to the Lunar New Year, the Star Ferry terminal area was nicely decorated with lots of lanterns, flowers and we couldn’t resist taken some photos.

During the recent HK Bridal exhibition in Wanchai, my fiancee, Harrace signed up for this bridal make up trial session, before we were to confirm the bridal make up services. Since it was near towards Chinese New Year, the roads were filled with cars, and of course we were late for the session. Originally, i booked the make up session at 7pm, but it took us nearly 45 minutes being stuck in the taxi, from Mongkok to Hunghom. The cab bill was also a huge HK$100.

Anyway, the bridal make up trial was to test whether i liked the make up and hairstyle designs of this make up artist. The price for testing the make up was HK$300 (for 2 hairstyles and 2 make up), and would be deducted from the bridal make up package if we signed up with them.

This make up artist was recommended by the other video and photography company that we had signed up at the exhibition early February. However, upon meeting the make up artist, i knew that this make up session is headed towards disaster. Here is a snapshot of the bridal make up and hair style.

From this photo shoot, it didn’t look so bad, but trust me, i know how a professional make up artist’s work should be like.

My Hong Kong wedding will be held in about 2 more weeks and i’m still compiling my guests list. We’ll be having 1 set of wedding cards for Hong Kong while another set for my Malaysia wedding invitation cards. On Sunday, i signed up for a image consultancy course in Hong Kong’s Bio Beauty Culture. The course was conducted in Cantonese, with presentation using Apple. In about 2 hours, the principal image consultant went through image tips such as what colour theme each person belonged to. This was separated in the 4 seasons of spring, summer, autumn or winter, and whether this person should be cool or warm. The 2 hour course was priced at HK$380.

After ending the course, we were given a colour analysis, whereby coloured cloth was placed on our neck and chest area in order to choose the most appealing colour suitable for our skintone. Since it was an image consultancy course, i was of course already wearing make up, and before i could go through the colour analysis, i had to remove my make up so we were given make up removers.

I decided to visit Kimberly Street at Tsim Sha Tsui, an area filled with many bridal shops such as Mona Lisa, Xin Tian Di and Marry Claire from Taiwan.

Kimberly Road bridal shops @ Kowloon, Hong Kong

Most of the bridal shops will allow you to try on wedding dress. The first bridal store i checked out was located just next to the Kimberly Hotel as i was attracted to a pink & white wedding dress being displayed on the store mannequin. The sales lady informed me that this piece has only arrived 1 hour ago and i was the first one to try it out.

They were having a special rental package of about 1 wedding dress and 1 evening gown at about HK$2,800 for a 3 days / 2 nights package. If it was for the rental of only 1 wedding dress, i would be paying HK$1,800. I found this dress rather interesting and even checked out the price to just purchase the dress off the rack and they gave me a good bargain price of just HK$6,800, since it was more like an evening gown.
