Best bridal magazines for Malaysia & Singapore wedding planning
Ever since i knew wedding bells were on the way, i couldn’t resist buying up bridal magazines. Let’s take a look at what i’ve bought so far in the last 8 months.
Here’s a breakdown of some wedding magazines i’ve purchased and how useful i thought it was for me.
In Malaysia and Singapore, i’ve bought the following English wedding magazines:-
a) Malaysia Her World Brides - RM16.50
- I enjoyed reading the Wedding album section that featured the various real couple’s story of their wedding plans
- The directory at the back section of this magazine has a list of local bridal vendors ranging from wedding flower bouquets, to bridal studios with their address, and contact telephones too
- they do not have an official website and they currently only have the subsection of a few webpages at HerWorld.com.my for the issues preview
b) Singapore Female Brides magazine
- they have a nicely designed official wedding portal at FemaleBridesOnline.com
- professionally taken photographs
c) Malaysia Bridal Guide
- the photos on the magazine cover is not as attractive as the other wedding magazines on the shelves
- they have a website with the same domain name at BridalGuide.com.my with a wedding directory of various wedding suppliers
d) Style Weddings
- they recently launched this magazine in Malaysia. My first copy of this publication was the Style Weddings Singapore, and i was delighted to grab the premier issue in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago.
- this wedding magazine is slightly smaller in size compared to the other bridal magazines but worry not about the information inside
e) Weddings Malaysia booklet
- the initial one was in English and they recently launched the Chinese edition to this
- the magazine is about half an A4 size with spiral binding and different sections are arranged nicely so you can just head directly to the wedding photographers section if you are looking for bridal photography services and not have to browse thorugh the while magazine
- their website is available online at WeddingsMalaysia.com
So which wedding magazine have you read, and which did you find most useful?
Each magazine featured some different profiles of bridal services suppliers so after reading through these ones, you too can already get many contact details and ideas for planning your ultimate dream wedding. Moreover, there are wedding tips and lots of budget checklist available in most of these wedding magazines. Did i use those wedding checklist? I didn’t fill up any of those bridal planning checklist from the magazines but i did browse through some great checklist on wedding sites like theknot.com
I’ve also purchased many Chinese language wedding magazines and had fun flipping through the colourful pages too, but i found them to be filled with lots of bridal studios advertisements (maybe since i don’t know how to read chinese, i didn’t understand most of the articles written there, haha).

Good article. Found many interesting ideas here. Colorful online articles and glossy is my favourite.
