Our wedding march planning - grand entrance for the new couple
Our wedding dinner at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur with a cocktail reception at 6.28pm and i was surprised to hear that there were guests that arrived as early as 6 itself (at that point i was still doing my bridal make up & hair in the bridal suite).
Here is a photo of us with some of our guests :-

From left : Harrace’s mom (mother of the groom), Chelsia Ng (tv personality/celebrity & Miss Malaysia World), Harrace (the groom), Fione (me as the bride), and Kid Chan (who was actually a guest, but decided to bring in his camera too).
Our master of ceremony was Chelsia Ng , where eOneNet.com was managing her website, and being a personal friend, we knew how good she was as a MC.
When the time was right, guests were ushered into the ballroom and seated onto their respective tables, which were names of popular Websites, such as QQ.com (China’s most popular instant messaging system, even more popular than MSN Messenger), Amazon.com and of course our own range of sites like eOneNet.com
After the guests were seated down the lights for the ballroom lights were dimmed in preparation for the wedding march by the couple. You need to choose between total darkness or dimmed lights, so we choose the latter, as we would at least be able to see where we were going on the red carpet walkway.
Here is an animated photo of our wedding march.

On each table, flourescent light-up sticks (like neon glow lights) were placed so that guests could welcome the new couple, and party poppers were also placed. Upon reaching the stage, the huge party poppers were launched and there were lots of colours, and actions going on at the same time. Some wedding guests told me that it seemed more like a concert than a typical wedding dinner.
We entered the room along to our theme music (you should choose a music that means something to you and your spouse, and not the standard wedding march that both of you have no feelings for). For us, our theme song was from a Taiwanese romantic comedy tv series we watched in Hong Kong, which was called the Prince turns into a Frog by the boy band 183 Club. Since the distance between the entrance to the stage is not too long, this means your theme song might not have finished being broadcast, so what we did was to add in some poses and turns into our wedding march.
This means, you should prepare the wedding music you need and pass them to the hotel, or the DJ handling your wedding entertainment earlier on and test the audio levels by listening from different corners in your wedding reception venues to ensure that your guests can enjoy the show too.
I wonder how would the wedding photos turn out between those taken by the photographer, Wong from Kid Chan Studio, versus photos snapped by Kid Chan himself (whoever makes the bride look thinner would win i guess). One thing for sure, the photos we took ourselves (by my brother & some wedding helpers) was missing many vital shots of the events and i’m looking forward to my wedding photos and videos soon.

Hi, Siana, thanks for dropping by!
We didn’t go for any honeymoon yet as our work schedule is fully booked for the next 3 months. We will be doing seminars in Malaysia this week, and in Singapore next week.
So you can start your coaching with the Singapore class next week!
Regards,
Harrace
Congrats on your wedding. Did you do the salsa dance ? Sorry I was not in town. And I wonder why your social bookmarking sites buttons are not horizontal. The vertical position is not ideal.
HI Colbert
Yup we did the salsa dance (and Jeamie, our salsa instructor was there too), and it was basically “salsa in our own way”, haha.
I’m just glad that the guests enjoyed our presentation and had many good laughs! Videos have been uploaded online & we’ll share the wedding videos urls in the coming post.
We also have some of the bookmarking sites buttons on the horizontal display, below each post…
Rgds, Fione
Fione & Harrace,
