Do you wear a wedding ring?
Last week, i was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, and there was a nice European gentleman next to me. We had a fun time talking about living in Asia, as he has been in different Asian cities since 1997. Halfway through the conversation, he made a remark, which was, “How come you are not wearing your wedding band?”
Actually, both me & Harrace do not wear our wedding band. How about you? I like to have different accessories to match my different outfits, such as gold coloured huge rings to match a red bold jacket, and cute rings when i have a more “girlie” attire on. Therefore, for both of us, we did not mind not wearing a wedding band on our finger even after the wedding.
How did you choose your wedding ring? We preferred classic designs and in white gold or platinum rather than gold wedding bands. Our original choice of wedding ring was quite unique, with the groom wedding band with blue sapphire and the bride wedding band with red ruby stone. To fit with our “frog prince” concept, we even had each wedding ring with a king and queen crown on the platinum setting. Then towards our wedding reception, the jeweller who custom made the pair of wedding band for us, made a mistake and created bands which were too big for our fingers. Harrace could even wear my “bride” ruby ring so you can visualise how huge the ring size was.
Finally, we changed to a more simple wedding ring design, platinum with diamond and borders on the side of the ring. The wedding ring even came with a pink heart shaped ring holder. The only times we wore the wedding rings were when we exchanged vows in Hong Kong and Malaysia during the wedding dinner.
If you have found your true partner, then wearing your ring or not is not such a big deal after all, don’t you think?

Sandy, good idea. Will come up with a post about how we met, in the upcoming post.
Colbert, you are so sweet. Most ladies find it difficult to have their husband wear the wedding ring.
