KUALA LUMPUR: Her poise, kung fu skill and dancing talent won Chai Shu Wen, 20, from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah the 2018 Miss Talent International Competition Malaysia (MTICM) crown recently.
“I never expected this to happen. I thank the organiser – 28Mall.com – and the judges for giving me this great opportunity to represent Malaysia,” Chai said. From here, she will head for China where the global competition will be held in September.
Judge, Harrace Lau, complimented the Malaysian finalists on their talent, saying they “will do well in the global finals”.
Singer and singing teacher from Penang, Catherine Soon Zhi Ling, 28, and accounting graduate from Kuala Lumpur, Joey Wong Joo Yee, 21, won first and second runner-up respectively. The Miss Photogenic title went to model and belly-dancer, Amy Lim Hooi Ting, 27.
The Miss Talent International Competition was founded in 2014 and is a top beauty pageant in Hong Kong.
