eOneNet to set up beauty portal

LOCAL e-business portal and Internet Marketing consultant eOneNet.com Sdn Bhd is targeting to set up a beauty portal within the next 12 months.

According to eOneNet president and chief executive officer Fione Tan, the portal will deal with business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) transaction.

"The www.Suweit.com beauty portal is expected to contribute at least 10% to the company's total revenue by year end," Fione said. Fione told Star Business this after the signing of an agreement with reigning Miss Malaysia/World 2000 Tan Su Wei in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Datuk Vincent Lee, the franchise holder of the Miss Malaysia / World Pageant.

According to Fione, the company is developing and managing Suweit, which will be a website where Su Wei would provide online beauty tips and share her experience in the beauty line. She said web casts of fashion shows and events were in the pipeline. "We plan to offer online merchandise such a cosmetics and fashion accessories in 12 months," Fione said. She also said there was a possibility that the products would carry Su Wei's name.

In the area of B2B trading, Fione said that the portal would link up with businesses to produce and then market the products overseas.

She said the company aimed to create more portals with brand names and was aiming to set up at least one more portal this year.
