The contest, which was judged by Marie Claire staff, attracted 800 entries, which were short- listed to 11 winners, including the grand prizewinner. It was carded out in celebration of the movie release, Bridget Jones's Diary, to search for a local version of the main character.
Tan received her prizes along with two consolation prize winners, Farhanah Abbas and Suhainah Wahiduddin at a brief ceremony at the Telawi Street Bistro from Tay Aileen, regional media manager of Coca-Cola Malaysia.
Tay said the contest was aimed at today's young adults especially women in line with the lifestyle Diet Coke represents. "Fione is certainly an enterprising young woman who impressed all of us with her creative writing skills and we hope she enjoys her weekend getaway," she added.
The only girl in the family of four, the 24-year-old plans to take the break with her family members as she has not been on holidays for more than a year. 'I am certainly looking forward to a break from my busy schedule at work as it is a seven-day job and can be quite taxing. 'The contest was quite unique compared with the average slogan writing contest and it gave me a chance to express myself-which was easy to do,' Tan said.
The 10 consolation prize winners received a Diet Coke barn jacket, a carton of Diet Coke and the Bridget Jones's Diary soundtrack CD.
